If you liked War Of The Worlds with Tom Cruise, then I've got good news for you. The Day The Earth Stood Still with Keanu Reeves. That's right, it's time for another classic to be retold/slain because, apparently, Hollywood is out of new ideas. The movie is set to be released December 12, 2008. Reeves plays Klaatu, and Gort no doubt will be computer generated because, as we've learned from the newer Star Wars movies, the more CGI in a movie the better!

Of course I could be wrong. Maybe this movie will be better than the original?

(you don't honestly believe that last sentence do you?)

I heard about this, and with Hollywoods new trend to "stay true" to the source material (new batman- iron man- and now the watchmen) I thought they would do the same for this. I thought it would be pretty interesting to see a new take on the movie- but after seeing the trailer I think I'll wait for it to come out on DVD.

Keanu Reeves just always reminds me of Bill And Ted's Excellent Adventure.

It probably won't be as bad as I envision, and staying true to the source material is a good thing if in fact they do. I think it's a bit of "What's wrong with the old one?"

I'll stick with the original. Frankly, 99% of modern movies just don't interest me.
