About Me:
My name is Jim and I'm the host/put 'em together guy of the Relic Radio podcasts.
Website:

Favorite OTR Show:
If I had to narrow it down, I'd have to say that two of my favorites would be Suspense (for the variety and quality) and The Hall Of Fantasy (good spine-chillers!).
Favorite OTR Podcast:
Those Relic Radio podcasts are pretty good...of course I'm a bit biased.

Stargate shows used to be fun. Sorry Universe, but any more melodrama and Susan Lucci might step through the ring to take command.

thanks for the welcome Jim. I am a huge fan of the RR podcasts. I stumbled across them back in April 09- my favorite episode is little girl lost. From then on I have been hooked. I download and listen to 2 or 3 a night while I make greeting cards at my desk. You are an awesome host and I love the history you provide at the begining of each podcast. Keep up the great work!

Thanks for doing all that you do! You are the most "hands-on" OTR podcaster around! Kudos.

I Spy...Again

Oh sweet Hulu, let me count the ways I adore thee. Alright, so that’s a bit much but I have found myself spending more time on Hulu than I thought I would. It’s nice to be able to watch those few new shows I miss during their normal air times, and to u… Continue

Library Of Congress on Flickr

It struck me as odd when I found a government agency on Flickr, but The Library Of Congress has been posting photos from its archives on that website. There's a set of color photos from the 1930's and 1940's, and tons of news, sports, and other interesting shots from 1910-1915. Many are from the Bain News Service, which was the first news photography service, founded in 1898.

I'll post some of the more interesting pics in the photo section of this site. There are thousands of pics posted, and I… Continue

It's Dead Jim

I just deleted a personal blog I've had for the past three years. Why? Because it was quite dead, as was my desire to post to it I suppose. It's been killed and resurrected a number of times over the years, but I think this time it's stake through the heart, beheaded kind of dead. What does this have to do with old time radio? Nothing. Which brings me to my point.

I've decided to resurrect this site, and hopefully get some people to join me. Since Relic Radio has an official blog already, I'll… Continue

Yes, we have no Shadow

I was poking around iTunes today and noticed a new podcast of "The Shadow." Someone had left a comment on that podcasts page remarking how hard it was to find episodes of The Shadow, or OTR podcasts that feature it. It is hard but there is a reason for that. It's still under copyright.

Along with Orson Welles' War Of The Worlds from Mercury Theatre, The Shadow has to be the best known old time radio out there. After poking around I found that Conde Naste Publications owns the copyright… Continue
